Stool Sample Collection

WHY WE USE THIS TEST:

We are most often running the GI Effects Comprehensive Stool Analysis when using Genova. This is generally the best test to run to figure out what the heck is going on in your gut. This test is very thorough and looks at many different factors including maldigestion or, how well your gut is digesting food and absorbing nutrients, inflammation, dysbiosis, which is an imbalance of gut bacteria, metabolite imbalance such as short chain fatty acids, infections, parasites, yeast overgrowth and more.

PRICING:

GI Effects- $399.

LAB INFORMATION:

There is an option to run this test through insurance if you have a PPO. You will provide your insurance information on the requisition and an initial payment of $179 which acts as a deposit. If your insurance ends up covering the test, you will be reimbursed the $179. If insurance covers nothing, your max out of pocket cost will be $400.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

For those paying cash, Genova does offer a payment plan for the cost of the test ($399). You can pay in 4 installments of 25% of the total, over time.
